This is a small Japanese iron teapot, called a tetsubin. (鉄瓶)
We found it at To-ji Temple’s antique market in Kyoto — a big and old market where people sell things from long ago.

The round bumps on the surface are called arare, a traditional pattern.
It looks very much like Nambu Tekki(南部鉄器), a famous iron craft from northern Japan. These teapots were used to heat water, and many people still love their beautiful design.

We don’t know the exact year it was made, but we think it comes from the late Edo to mid-Meiji period (around 1850–1890). That means it's over 130 years old!
The color has changed a bit over time, and you can see some small rust spots. These are not problems — they show its age and story.

This teapot is small, and it’s great as a decoration or for people who love Japanese tea culture. It is not for modern stovetops.

🛍️ This is a one-of-a-kind item — once it’s gone, it’s gone.
