This is a vintage Japanese teacup (yunomi) used by a restaurant called Nishitsugaru.
We found it at To-ji Temple’s antique market in Kyoto — a great place to discover items from Japan’s past.
The cup is printed with bold, old-style Japanese writing, including:
“ふるさとの味に酔わせる 西津軽”
“Let the taste of hometown make you drunk — Nishitsugaru”
It also includes a family crest (kamon), a phone number written in the old Japanese style, and retro-style logos.
This cup is a great example of Showa-era design, when restaurant teacups often doubled as advertisements.
It’s a fun and nostalgic item for collectors, designers, or anyone who enjoys Japanese vintage culture.
🛍️ This is a one-of-a-kind item — once it’s gone, it’s gone.
