This is a vintage Japanese teacup (called yunomi or 湯呑), found at To-ji Temple’s antique market in Kyoto. It has a soft, wavy surface and a deep blue rim.
What makes it special is the big, hand-painted calligraphy on the side. The characters say things like:
富 (wealth), 貴 (honor), 長 (long life), and 寿 (happiness/longevity). These words are often used to bring good luck and positive energy to the person using the cup.
The style is simple but full of charm. It has some tiny marks from use and age, but that only adds to its story. The shape fits nicely in the hand, and the blue and white colors are easy to enjoy in any space.
This is a great piece for people who like old things, traditional design, or Japanese everyday culture.
🛍️ This is a one-of-a-kind item — once it’s gone, it’s gone.
